  Larry Simon
Around 1978 I began composing works in a minimalist style for multiple electric guitars, usually duets. I believe these may be the earliest pieces written in this manner, combining elements of rock, jazz, folk, blues and aspects of the minimalist aesthetic of composers such as LaMonte Young and Terry Riley.  For the record, my work was contemporary, or perhaps predated, that of composers such as Glenn Branca and Rhys Chatham.
I also worked with many jazz, punk/funk, and "downtown" experimental types of rock musicians. I hope you enjoy the music  below and on the following pages.

An example of one of my early compositions featuring two electric guitars.
